The Disease (“Sygdommen”) is a novel from which Martin Hall read up excerpts at a spoken word festival in Vega, Copenhagen, in November 1998. The event was part of a festival where other performing artists included Henry Rollins, Michael Gira and Lydia Lunch.

The audience present at the Hall event was offered to buy the manuscript in limited edition of fifty copies – the number of the people in the audience who signed up for the reservation of the manuscript on the night itself.

The full manuscript consists of 129 pages.
